Join Our Leadership
The members of the Creators Society are placed into different groups called Branches.
Each Branch elects a Council to lead, plan events, and represent the interests of the members of the branch.
The Council is made up of a Chief, a Vice Chief, and Councilors.
At the Creators Society, we're fueled by shared passion. Join us in strengthening our incredible animation community as a dedicated volunteer. Whether you opt for a two-year Branch position or a dynamic one-year term as a Committee Chair, you're poised to create a significant impact.
By taking up one of these roles, you'll establish yourself as a leader within our vibrant community. It's an opportunity to give back to the inspiring animation community that unites us all. Here, you'll shape events, build connections, and contribute to something truly special.
Branch Councils
A Branch Council is the vibrant pulse of our Creators Society community. At the heart of each Branch, Councilors collaborate to curate engaging events and programs tailored specifically to the diverse disciplines of our members. The size of these councils is directly related to the number of members in each Branch: two Councilors for Branches with smaller membership, three for those of medium size, five for the larger ones, and seven for the very largest. What's inspiring is that you don't need to be far along in your career to excel in these roles. Often, those earlier in their careers bring fresh perspectives and boundless enthusiasm to their roles as Branch Councilors and Chiefs. It's not about the level of experience; it's about your unwavering passion to contribute, create, and foster connections within our community. Serving in these leadership positions can be an enriching journey, especially for those in the early stages of their careers, as they stand to gain the most from the experience.
Following the election, our newly elected Councilors will convene in December. During this crucial meeting, they'll not only begin crafting a strategic roadmap for the upcoming year but also appoint one among them to lead as the Chief.
Within the Council, all Councilors hold equal voting rights when it comes to Branch matters. However, the Chief takes on a distinct role, shouldering the responsibility of leading the Council. In addition to their Council duties, the Chief serves as a member of the Creators Society Board of Governors.
The Board of Governors comprises not only the officers of The Creators Society but also the Chiefs from our various Branches. Together, they contribute to the overarching direction and success of our dynamic community.
Committee Chairs play a crucial role within our Creators Society community. Elected annually, they take the helm in guiding their respective committees to fulfill their specific responsibilities. Just like with Branch leadership, your level of experience in your career field isn't the primary focus; it's your willingness to contribute and make a difference that truly matters.
Our committees, including the Events Committee, Careers Committee, Diversity Committee, Membership Committee, and Communications Committee, each have their unique objectives designed to enhance our community and enrich the benefits of membership. Whether you're an industry veteran or at the outset of your career, serving as a Committee Chair empowers you to actively shape the direction of our society and create lasting change. Your enthusiasm and commitment are what make the difference.
Following the election, each newly elected Committee Chair will hold a meeting with their respective committee members in December. During this crucial session, they'll delve into the ongoing work of their committee, chart a course for the upcoming year, and appoint a Committee Vice-Chair to support their efforts.
